Our next ERC interview trainings will commence on:
- ERC Advanced Grant 2025: 9 February 2026 & 10 February 2026 (please send a binding registration by 5 January 2026 by email to: Sarah Goharnia)
Congratulations! You have successfully passed the first hurdle of the ERC selection process and have now been invited to an interview. This means that the ERC has recognised the great potential of your ambitious project idea and now wants to get to know you personally. Take advantage of this opportunity to convince the panel in just a few minutes.
Our Europe Office offers virtual interview training for Leibniz scientists who have been invited to the ERC interview in the current ERC application rounds. In addition, scientists who have applied with a Leibniz Institute as their host institution and have been admitted to the ERC interview are also eligible to participate.
At a glance
- The ERC interview training simulates a real interview.
- You will have approximately 45 minutes for your presentation, the Q&A session, and feedback and questions (please note the exact specifications in the ERC invitation regarding the length of your presentation and the Q&A session).
- The ‘mock panel’ we have put together usually consists of an experienced science communication coach, an ERC advisor, and successful ERC grantees from Leibniz Institutes.
- The panel will ask questions about your project, provide feedback, and share personal interview experiences.
- The training ends with a feedback round and time for further questions.
- For maximum benefit, your presentation should be as close as possible to your final presentation.
